Mr. Hardsell is visitine: his daughter, Mrs. Morgan and fam ily at Elmwood this wpek. Mr. and Mrs. Irvin Schmidt of Cook announce the birth of a daughter at Nebraska Citv. No vember 10th. She is the former Rose Neumeister. Jack Hallstrom has arrived at CamD Cook near Santa Maria, California. Asa Coatman is very ill at his home near Elmwod. Mrs. Katherine Neumeister is recovering nicely and was able to go home after spending sever al davs at the home of her daughter. Mrs. John Lingle. Ex aminations revealed that there were no bones broken in her re cent accident. Mrs. Henry Maseman was hon or guest at a birthday dinner at the home of her daughter and husband. Mr. and Mrs. Myron Rchroeder near Palmyra. Mrs. Holm baked the" birthday cake. Those present, were: Henry Maseman and Richard. Mr. and Mrs. Stuart Maseman and Paul Mr. and Mrs. John Maseman and Kathv. Mr. and Mrs. Walter Holm and daughters and John SDecht. Fred Marquardt was rushed to St. Mary's hospital Monday eve- Those who were helping Mrs. Henrv Maseman celebrate her birthdav Friday afternoon were Mrs. Kristine Sailing. Mrs. Hen ry Dankloff. Miss Mathilde Mad sen. Mrs. Minnie Neumeister and brother and Mrs. Hans Jensen. The ladies aid met in the church parlors Thursday with Mrs. J. W. Brendel and Mrs. H. H. Marquardt. Mrs. Elmer Hennings had charge of the devotional period and the thank offering service. Mrs. Ray Ruhee sang a solo and Mrs. Henry Smith ac companied her and played music while the offering was being taken. The offering was $32.50. It was announced at the business meeting that the Christmas sale and bazaar will be held on Tues day. December 5th starting at 2 o'clock. A cafeteria supper will be served. The group sang "Hap py Birthday" for Mrs. Dena w,irp. m-s.
