Humann, Paul and Glenie Kay. Wichita. Kan., spent last week visiting at the home of Mrs. Humann's mother. Mrs. Alta Young. Mrs. Addie Hatchett. Have lock, is spending her summer vacation at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Leonard Lutz ana iamily. . A large crowd attended and a program by some of the children was also enjoyed. Mr. and Mrs. J. L, Young and family are vacationing in Colo rado this week, visiting many points 01 interest. Mr. and Mrs. Harold Rice were pleasantly surprised Wednesday evening on their eighth wedding anniversary, when a group of neighbors and friends came in to surprise them. The men planned and also served the lunjch. consist ing of ice cream, cookies and pop. Those present were Mr. and Mrs. R. D. Ward and Kay. Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Lutz. Jer ry. Jimmy and Mary Lou. Mr. and Mrs. George Elwonger. Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Jacobson. Bobbie. Mickey and Patty. Mrs. Earl Rowen from Nebraska City and the guests of honor, Mr. and Mrs. Rice and family. Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Lan caster, Janice and Nancy, left Friday for Colorado to enjoy a week in the mountains. Mr. and Mrs. Earl Lancaster. Mr. and Mrs. R. A. Noell, Duane. Roger and Eugene, were visiting last week end at the home of Mrs. Lancaster's sister, Mrs. C. C. Cudaback, at McCool Junc tion, Nebr. Eddie Bickett and Don Resso returned from California Mon day evening. Eddie was visiting his brother. Laverne Bickett and wife. San Diego. Eddie's mother remained for a longer visit and Don was in Los Angeles visit ing with his father. Mr. and Mrs. John Blotzer and Johnnie left last week for sev eral days vacation, first going to Sidney. Ia., to see the rodeo. From there they went to the Ozark mountains. Mr. and Mrs. Karl Ogg, Peru, spent several days last week with Mrs. Ogg's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Martin Sporer. Mr. and Mrs. Roy Howard left Wednesday for Minneapolis. Minn., to visit with their son. Mr. and Mrs. Grant Howard and family. Rev. Roy P. Morris returned home with his son. Rev. Willard Morris and family, to Jettmore. Kan. From there they will go to fcstes Park for an outing. South (Bend Mn Clm KuhR Mrs. Geo. Vogel suffered a light stroke and was taken to Clarkson hospital. She has im proved slightly. ' Mr. and Mrs. Jess Fidler and girls. Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Streight helped little Gary Davis cele brate his second birthday Thursday evening at Lincoln. Mr. and Mrs. Jess Fidler and girls visited with Norma Bush nell and the Ed Copsey family at Omaha Sunday evening Mr. and Mrs. W. M. Nitz of Wann spent Sunday afternoon and were supper guests of Mr. and Mrs. Dave Campbell. Mr. and Mrs. Chester Camp bell and Dwane Preston were Sunday dinner and supper guests of the Dave Campbells. Mrs. Dora Richards and Bev erly spent Wednesday until Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Hugh "Vargas at Springfield. Mrs. Glen Kuhn and Linda. Mrs. Lucille Castle spent Thurs day in Lincoln. Nebraska, visiting the Lester Burger family. Freddie Burger returned home with .them for a week's visit. Mrs. Ida Graham of Chadron. Nebraska. SDent Sunday and Monday with Glen Kuhn and family. Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Rosencrans and Jack.
