Abstracts of Title "Title Insurance" Plattsmouth, Nebraska The blood campaign was in charge of Mrs. Adian Newens as the city chairman and Dr. L. A. Amato. county chairman of the Red Cross. The largest contributing erouo to take part was that of the Eagles lodge, fourteen of the members responding to the call. James Dew Injured In Wreck in West The report has reached this city of an auto wreck in which James Dew. former resident here, with is wife were very badly injured, on June 21st. They reside in San Francisco, apparently were on a motor out ing when the wreck occurred near Bakersfield, California. From what can be learned. James suffered a slight skull fracture and other injuries, cuts and bruises. Mrs. Dew was less severely injured and is report ed improving. Mr. Dew is at the Southern Pacific hospital. Fells and Baker streets, Bakersfield. Mr. Dew is a son of Mrs. Nellie Dew of this city and brother of Hubert Dow of Council Bluffs. He has made his home in recent years on the west coast. Discharged from U. S. Air Force Pfc. Bill Brookhouser and Pfc. John Kimball of this city have iu.st received their discharges from the United States army air corp. They have been serv ing at "Good Fellow" air field at San Angelo. Texas, for the greater part of their service. Bill Brookhouser is here for a few weeks visit with the bro thers and sister and will then go on to Milwaukee, Wisconsin, where the parents are now making their home. John Kimball is still at San Angelo and may decide to re main there for the present at least. Our own idea is that the Rus sians be permitted to stay be hind the Iron curtain as long as it suits them.
