Word has been received that Lloyd Eidenmiller of Lincoln passed away Sunday evening ith a heart attack. He is a brother of George Eidenmiller and a former Elmwood resident. Mrs. O. E. Liston has purchas ed the former cafe property on Main Street and will have the Variety Store moved there when it is ready. Miss Ethel Lang horst is clerk there. Mrs. Walter Hall (Marjory) of Lincoln underwent a major op eration on Friday. It is hoped that her health will be much improved. Mrs. Ila Harley was in Platts mouth on Sunday and Monday visiting her daughter, Mrs. Blanche Geshke and family. Mrs. Alta Quinn of Lincoln was there on Sunday too. The Fellowship class of the IKethodist Church school with their families enjoyed a picnic dinner at the park after church on Sunday. Rev. Louise Ward was one of the guests. Mrs. Lucy Lyle is having a vis it in Denver with her son Stew art and family. The ' Fred Kunz estate sale was held on Saturday afternoon. On Saturday afternoon Geo. Miller received a phohe call from his son. Floyd, of Lincoln, inviting him to be a guest at his home for Father's Day. He ac cented and enjoyed the visit and attending church in the capital city. Floyd is in the employ of the state educational depart ment and he gave commence ment addresses this spring. Sunday guests of Mrs. Crea mer, Maud and Jessie were Mr. and Mrs. Dudley Leavitt, Ruth Monning, and Grace Wood. Father's Day callers on M. S. Briggs were his son Leland. and his daughter and family, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Franzen and daughter Dorothy, all of Oma ha. They came with gifts for Mr. Briggs. Miss Catherine Lorenz was a week end guest of her parents and other relatives. She is em ployed in Omaha. Mrs. Anna Nicklas of Wau neta played the violin solo. "Jerusalem" in a skillful man ner on Sunday at Methodist church service. She was ac companied by Mrs. Dwight Clements. Mrs. Emily Gonzales arrived home on Sunday night from her eastern visit in Massachusetts, where her son, Donald was com pleting his journalism course at Harvard. She spent a few weeks there. They visited the Cape Cod region. Provincetown. and Plymouth Rock. She en joyed seeing and hearing about the growing cranberries, and the way the industry is car ried on and the historic sites of Boston. From there they went to the home of Mr. and Mrs. Donald Ganzales at Silver Springs. Maryland. Donald con tinues his work with the State Department United Press in Washington, D. C. Mrs. Gonzales visited for two days at her nephew, Stewart Mills' home. Gene Martin, who was serious ly injured in an accident some time ago is back at St. Joseph's hospital in Omaha. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Wilmer Martin of South Omaha.
