New Restaurant In Weeping- Water WEEPING WATER, (Special to the Journal) The Wig-Warn Cafe, a new restaurant, owned and operated by Mr. and Mrs. Wilfred Meyer, opened Monday for business at Weeping Water. Formal opening was Saturday with free treats for the kiddies. Occupying the rental business building of S. J. Marshall, which has been entirely redecorated and remodeled for cafe service. Using the historical, as well as the Weeping Water athletic theme for decorations, the walls are colorful with Indian scenes and paintings, typical of earlier history when the Otoe and Mis souri Indians roamed this ter ritory. Booths have been in, stalled and a "U" shaped counter-bar for those who want quick service. A complete foun tain is not installed but custom ers may buy "'cokes" and ice cream there. Mr. and Mrs. Meyer need no introduction to the townspeople, Mrs. Meyer having been em ployed previously at the Ham burger Inn, knows the restau rant ropes, so to speak, and we suspect that Mr. Meyer will be a willing (?) beginner and learn rapidly. Mrs. Walter Luh ring has been assisting Mrs. Meyer and Mrs. Fred Bauer. We also suspect that the Wig-Warn will become the "hideout" or the "lookout" for the Weeping Water Indians and their followers.
