Tennant returned home Sunday after spending three weeks assisting in the care of her father who is ill at the G. D. Phillips home in Duluth, Minn. Mrs. E. A. Ingram entertained at dinner Monday evening for the sixteenth birthday of her daughter. Myrna. He had to go back to the hospital for a blood transfusion. He is better now but not able to work much yet. Mrs. Emma Harper of Lin coln is on the tour of the South which is sponsored by W. O. W. They left last Wednesday and will be gone about two weeks. Her mother. Mrs. J. O. Word. ! who makes her home with her is in Louisville visiting ' while Mrs. Harper is away. Mr. and Mrs. Marion Hicks and family came down from Bassett and spent most of last week at the Alfrey and Hicks homes. Piano pupils of Mrs. George Dolan presented a recital at the Methoc.ist church on Sunday. The board of trustees of the village of Louisville has passed three ordinances creating three new paving districts which, if agreab!.e to the property own ' its. wi!.l be paved this year. Mr. and Mrs. Dave Alfrey drove in from North Loup, Fri day evening to spend the week end at the Alfrej home. Mr. and Mrs. Bill Williams of Springfield entertained at a family dinner Sunday, honoring .several birthdays in the family this month. Those attending the dinner were: Mr. and Mrs. M L. Williams. Mr. and Mrs. Wes Blair, Dan Schoeman and Wil ma, Mr. and Mrs. La Rue Wil liams, George Schoeman, Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Blair and fam ily. Mr. and Mrs. R. B. Sicuter and family and Mrs A. B. Dean, all of Louisville; Mr. and Mrs. Harold Williams and Billy of Omaha, were also there. Mrs. Alfrey celebrated her birthday Thursday and that evening her daughter, Ueulah. Mrs. Jerry Ford, called her mother by phone from New York. Ed Gess received word Tues day of the death of his brother-in-law. C. H. McCartley. whe had passed away in California. He wa brought to Broken Dow, Nebraska, for burial and Ed went there cn Wednesday to be present for ihe funeral. Friday evening. March 24. thr Fisherman's Club of the Metho dist church sponsored a church night with a covered dish luncheon. Dr. E. Wesley Perry of Omaha was the speaker. Mr. and Mrs. Duan? Mrs. Evelyn Drumm and Lin da and Brent are leaving Sun ' day for Alaska where they will join Sgt. Drumm who is sta tioned at Fairbanks, Alaska. Mr. and Mrs. George Addy ; man of Fargo, North Dakota, are spending a few days in ; Louisville, visiting with Mr. Aridyman's brother, H. J. Addy maja, and with the W. J. and i Roy Addyman families. Huffman were in Omaha Friday where they attended part of the ses sions of the winter meeting of the Nebraska Press Association. Mrs. Gail Meisinger and Mrj. Paul Ingram were shopping in Omaha Friday. While there, they saw Miss Florence Forn off, who used to live in Louis ville, but now lives at Schuyler.
