On Monday afternoon about forty men gathered west of town for a shooting match Captains were Otto Reickman ;and Paul Stock. Texley Dies At Home Thursday Dr. A. Texley, 77, a resident of Plattsmouth for several years died cn Thursday at Carroll, Nebraska, where he had resid ed after leaving Plattsmouth. Dr. Texley started the practice of medicine in Carroll in 1901 and since 1944 had again made his home in that place, his health gradually failing until his death. Dr. Texley was born in Wis ner, Nebraska, and was reared at Nehawka, where he operated a drug store for a number of Medical school at St. Louis. He finished his medical train ing in 1900, and after working i a year in St. Louis, opened his ; office at Carroll. He practic ! ed at Carroll until in 1941, when he moved to Plattsmouth. where he remained three years, j later returning to Carroll on ! account of his health, j He was married in 1895 to I Miss Cara Person, of Newman j Grove, who with two sons. Law rence and Lloyd, survive the passing of the father. All re side at Carroll. There also sur vice five grandchildren, one greatgrandchild, three sisters and one brother The funeral was held on Sun day at the St. Paul's Lutheran church at Carroll. Death of Frank Ohm at Denver The message was received here Sunday of the death of Frank Ohm, 63, former resident of Plattsmouth, which occurred on Sunday at his home at Denver, where he had been in failing health for some time. Mr. Ohm has been suffering from a heart ailment that had compelled him to largely give up his active work in the rail road shops. The death, how ever, came very suddenly. Mr. Ohm .a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Fred Ohm, was born in Plattsmouth and made his home here in his younger years. In later years he moved to Omaha, where he was with the Union Pacific until trans ferred to Denver, where he has resided since. Surviving are the Jwidowj Ethel, of Denver; two sisters, Mrs. Jennie Neilsen and Mrs. Bertha Vanmeter of Lincoln; one brother, Edward Ohm, of Chicago. No information as to the funeral arrangementh has been received here. Mrs. J. R. Gray, wife of Col. Gray, of Bellevne, and daugh ters. Pat and Betty, were guests of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Thiele, on Thursday. Miss Betty -left by piano Monday night " for Washington, D. C. to resume her work in the governmental service in that city. She . has been here for the holidays with her parents.
