Mr. Gus Wendt and daughter, Myrtle, spent the week end at Crawford, Nebraska, visiting relatives and doing some deer hunting. They came home on Monday evening with a nice deer. Miss Shirley Wendt, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. August Wendt, who is in training at St. Louis, was home over the week end. The Women's Missionary So ciety met at the home of Mrs. Leo Rikli for their regular monthly meeting on Wednes day for an all day session. Recovering from A Severe Fall Mrs. Elizabeth Hennings, re siding at 910 Second avenue, is recovering from a severe fall, sustained at her home the past week. Mrs. Hennings was going from her home to the down town section and as she stepped down steps leading to the side walk she missed one of the steps and was thrown to the walk with the result that her face was very badly bruised. Medical aid was called and it was found she had not sus tained any fractures but the bruises were very painful and kept her confined to her home for several days. Miss Mary Rishel, who is teaching in the Denison, Iowa, schools was home visiting her father and relatives over Sun day.
