O. Gillespie were Sunday din ner guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Joe Gustin. Mr. and Mrs. John Murdoch moved into their new home on Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. Ed McCrory and daughter were Sunday evening dinner guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. I. C. McCrory. Mr. and Mrs. II. O. Eastman of Sterling, Colo., spent Sunday in Murdock visiting relatives. Mrs. Eastman was formerly Miss Irene McDonald. Mr. and Mrs. T. J. McMurrin were Sunday dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Lacey McDonald. Mrs. J. R. Paul entertained the "Four Square Club'" at her home on November 17th with a ;:ccd attendance. The lesson this month was "equipment for the laundry room," which was presented to us by Mrs. Chester Elseman and Mrs. Floyd Mc Kee. This was a very interest ing lesson so many helpful hints brought out by the leaders. The nsxt meeting and Christmas party will be held at the home of Mrs. Fred Brunkcw on Decem ber 15th. The Women's Missionary So ciety and their families gave a party in honor of Mr. and Mrs. Otto Miller, Friday evening, at the hall in honor of their 50th wedding anniversary, which they will celebrate cn the 23rd, when they will have open house from 2 to 5 in the afternoon and from 7 to 9 in the evening. On Thursday evening a mis "cellanetrus shower was given in honor of Arlo Stock and Miss Helen Smith at the Callahan basement. It was given by cou sins of Mr. Stock. A Brotherhood banquet was held at the Ctallahan basement on Monday evening for men of the Evangelical United churches of Murdock and Elmwood. Murdock basketball teams and volleyball team went to Pal myra, Friday evening, for their first games of the season. Vol leyball team and first basket ball lost and second team won. They spent (Sunday afternoon with Mr. and Mrs. John Meyer. Mrs Henry Schroeder left Wednesday night for Denver, Colo., where she will visit her daughter, Mrs. Ed Cochell and husband. Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth O'Rourke were Ashland shoppers Tuesday. Mr. and Mrs. Clinton Green and sons spent the week end at the Emil Meisinger home. Little Judy Leesley returned home with them and will stay until Wednesday. Wesley McDonald, Mr. Steven sonand Mr. Schmitz of Akron, Colo., Mr. and Mrs. Stevenson, of Omaha, Mr. and Mrs. Boyd Claycomb, E. L. McDonald and Mrs. Rose McDonald of Green wood, attended the Colorado Nebraska football game in Lin coln Saturday. Wesley Mc Donald is a brother of E. L. Mc Donald. The L. C. C. club met wtih Mrs. Henry Armstrong Thurs day ' afternoon. Mr. and Mrs. Harry Hughes, of Springfield, were Sunday evening diner guests of Mr.and Mrs. Joe Kyles. Mr. and Mrs. Maynard Grif fith and children spent Thurs day evening with Mr. and Mrs. John Meyers. Mrs; J. C. Hoenshell and Mrs. J. M. Hoenshell called on Mrs. M. P. Ryan Saurday evening. Dr. and Mrs. Wallaceand Mrs. Ted Klinholz of Friend, and Mrs. Joe Kyles attended a show in Omaha Thursday night. The Jolly Joker club met with Mrs. Peter Hilt Friday. Mr. and Mrs. Louie Meisinger of Plattsmouth, were Sunday dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Emil Meisinger.
