Miss Helene Vansoverbeck, laughter of Mr. and Mrs. Julius Vancverbeck cf Louisville, and Joe Searles of Bever Creek, Minn., were married at Lu verne, Minn., on Sunday, Oct 16th. Heiene's sister married a brother of Joe s about a year ago. James Stander, who was quite sick and confined to his room at the Methodist hospital in Omaha, is considerable better at this writing. Fred Masters returned home on Wednesday of last week from the . hospital in Omaha, where he spent several days for treatment. Henry Stander, who has been at the Doctor's Hospital in Omaha for ihe past two weeks, has improved so he could return to his home in Ashland. Mrs. Tena Nessen. Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Nessen and child ren. Katherine and Eilly, drove to Neligh Sunday for a reunion of the Hansen family. 'The re union was held at the old Han sen home. Mr. and Mrs. Kerb Darmer have returned to Louisville from a two week's vacation, which they spent in California. Mr. and Mrs. William Graham returned Wednesday evening from a vacation trip to the north western part of the Unit ed States. They visited Mrs. Graham's sister, Mrs. Harold Haberman, who used to be Clara Thornton before she was married. The foundation is being laid this week for the new home of Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Reed on Railroad Avenue. Mr. and Mrs. Manlev Hum sitea the Floyd Erickson Floy Sunday. Mrs. Ruth Baker is driving new Ford. W. B. Bradley is driving a new Frazer Manhatten car which he bought two weeks ago. Mrs. Albert Murray of Plat tsmouth was in Louisville on business and calling on old friends. F. H. Brunson received a bad ly bruised left foot last week. R. E. Uhley spent from Wed nesday through Saturday of last u-eek at Superior, where he was visiting his son, Don and family. Funeral services were field for Margaret Greer at the Method ist church Tuesday afternoon. Miss Greer had been ill for a long time and had been in a Lincoln hospital for several months. She had lived in the Greenwood vicinity for about 68 years. Mr .and Mrs. George Kyles of Denton, Neb., and Vaeta Ka cine of Alvo called on Mr. and Mrs. Joe Kyles Tuesday af ter i noon. Mr. and Mrs. John Hoerr, Mr. and Mrs. Emil Meisinger and Virginia Cameron visited rela tives in South Bend and Platts mouth Tuesday. Mrs. Mary Dimmitt visited relatives in Ashland last week. The Twin Table Club met with Mrs. June Kyles Tuesday afternoon. Mrs. Vivian Cope and Mrs. Esther Armstrong were guests. Mr. and Mrs. Elza Winget of Ashland called on Mr. and Mrs. J. C.
