M. at Have lock and Martha Washington chapter 153 cf the Eastern Star of tlfat city, etnertained on Thursday at the Masonic temple in Havelock. The occasion was featured by a covered dish dinner at the lodge hall and very largely at tended by the members of the two organizations. Attending the dinner from this city were Mr. and Mrs. W. F. Evers and Mr. and Mrs. Ray mond C. Cook. Mr. Cook gave a very fine talk on the Nebraska' Masonic Home and the great wcrk that it is do ing in Nebraska for the aged members of the order, of the fu ture mission of the Home for the aged mmbers of the frater nity. Mr. Evers, the superintendent cf the Home, discussed the plans for the future of the Home, al so showed pictures of the Home and the plans for the further ex pansion cf the plant to care for more of the aged, the number of applicants at this time being much larger than the capacity of the Home could care for. The representatives of the Home re ceived a very fine rception from the members of the order at Havelock and much interest shown in the future plans for building. CALDWELL Funeral Home Dial 1111 fHE PLATTSMOUTH, NEBRASKA, SEMI-WEEKLY JOURNAL Monday, October 25, 1948 PAGE FIVE Death of Ole Olsen Prominent Quarry Operator Ole Olsen, 74, one of the prom inent residents of Weeping Water, died on Friday at .Lincoln where he had been for a short time and had been operated on a week before his death. Mr. Olsen had been in failing health for a number of months and his condition was such that hospital ization was found necessary. Mr. Olsen has made his home in Weeping Water for the past sixty years and was engaged in the quarry business in that local ity for a great many years, being one of the best known men in this line of activity in the state. Mr. Olsen was well known over Cass county and his de3th comes as a great shock to the many friends and acquaintances throughout this section. There, is surviving his passing the widow, two daughters, Mrs. Raymond Gessing and Mrs. Charles Marth of Chicago. The funeral services will be on Tuesday afternoon at 2:30 at the j Congregational church at Weep ing Water and the interment at the Oakwood cemetery. The Hobson funeral home will have charge of the services. Visit With Injured at Lincoln Hospital Mr. and Mrs. William S. Weten kamp weie in Lincoln Sunday where they visited with their daughter, Mrs. Lloyd McKenna, who is at the Bryan Memorial hospital in that city. Mrs. McKenna fell and injured her right hip sometime ago and is required to wear a cast for a time at least.
