She came for the funeral of her sister, Mrs. Mary Duff of Cedar Creek, who was buried Friday. Worthman and Miss Christina Koop were Oma ha shoppers Monday. Henry Ossenkop suffered a light stroke Monday but seems to be better now. Alan Snyder received word last week that he will report for duty Oct. 6. He will be with the Army Air Cadets and will be stationed at Sherman, Texas. Mr. and Mrs. Henry Hauschildt entertained at supper Monday evening, Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Ftterson cf Omaha, and Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Grady and little daughter of Almo Gordo, New Mexico. Mr. and Mrs. Eimer Wendt and Mr. and Mrs. John Wegener re turned last week from a vaca tion trip to the west including a trip through Yellowstone park. Miss Gertrude Brammer left Monday for Indianapolis, Indi ana to return to her work, after spending her vacation in Colo rado and with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Fred H. Brammer. Mr .and Mrs. John Putter visit ed lelatives in Omaha Sunday atteinoon and evening. Bill Ingram arrived home Sat urday from Bend, Oregon where he has been working for the past several months. Isaac were Omaha visitors Saturday after noon. Mr. and Mrs. William Wirth visited in Lincoln Sunday at the home of Gail Wirth. Emil Hiers is digging his potatoes on the Sylvia Urvin place. Mr. and Mrs. Milford Meising- er of Murdock were Saturday night shoppers in Louisville. Miss LucuJe Edwards is the new clerk at Carl's Variety Store. She is staying at the home of Mrs. Tena Ncssen. Mrs. L. J. Mayfield, Mrs. J. R. Noyes and Mrs. C. S.Hirsch drove to Omaha Tuesday. Mr. and Mrs. Claude Sack of South Bend were in Louisville Saturday night shopping. Gail Wirth was in Louisville Saturday on business. Fred 11. Brammer and Miss Gertrude were in Lincoln Fri day to visit friends. Mrs. A. II. Peterson went to Omaha Sunday evening and spent the night and Monday with her daughter, Mrs. C. J. Roark and family. Mrs. Elsie Lewis of Topcka, Kansas and Miss Ross Paden of Quilquc, Chile, visited last week at the home of their sister, Mrs. D. W. Webb. Also another sis ter, Mrs. Frank of Clay Center Kan. Miss Paden, who is on a years leave of absence from her work in Chile, left Saturday for Nashville, Tenn., to attend Col lege. . Several arrests have been made for traffic violations in Louisville's traffic safety cam pagin. It will continue for at least another week. The Dutch Academy Club met September 15 at the home of Mrs. Melvin Meyer. Miss Josephine Zastera of Oma ha spent a short time at home last week. Mr. and Mrs. Martin Walker of Lincoln visited his brother, Ned and his nephews, Dan and Ray Thornton here a couple of days early this week. The pupils and teacher, Mrs. Hlavac, of Buffalo School en joyed a weiner roast Thursday evening. It was held at the Louis ville Lakes. Guests were Har old and Leslie Hlavac, Mr. and Mrs. Duane Hlavac and Mrs. George Booze. The Order of Rainbow for Girls Assembly No. 8 will have their installation of officers at the Springfield Masonic Tpmnlp in Monday evening. The Rainbow Girls can brine their friends.
