The Woman's Association of i the Congregational Church met Wednesday afternoon at the home of Mrs. Victor Wallick, with Miss Esther Tefft and Mrs. Marion Stone in charge of the program on "Co-operation In Human Re lations." Mrs. John C. Prycr, Mrs. C. E. Tefft and Miss Esther Tefft gave a reDort of the state church association, which they attended recently at Norfolk, and reoorts were heard about the fine meeting recently held at Syracuse. Hostesses for the af ternoon were Mrs. Wa'liek. Mrs. Ben Olive. Mrs. Arthur Jones, and Mrs Charles Snohn. Mr. and Mrs. Guv Hopkins had an interesting visitor, one day !ast week-when they received a telephone call from the Omaha Airport from a friend of "Cork ey's" who had been stationed with him at Kodiak, Alaska. He wa on his way to his home at Dallas , Texas. They persuaded him to remain over and come to Weeping Water. Mrs. Hopkins and Tom brought him down from Omaha, and he remained over night at the Hopkins home. He is a medical student, and will com plete his medical training, now that he is out of the Army. The cast of the High School Senior Class play, and their di rector, Mrs. Irma Elgaard, went to Lincoln Thursday afternoon and presented their play, "Shiny vr.'1" .'"y " l " r.J. ut .u vm,: .ul! their son-in-law. and daughter. ; Veteran's hospital, with Jane Lorensen and Gertrude Olive singing solos, between acts, and a solo by one of the veterans, whose name we wer? unable to get, was greatly enjoyed. Mr. and Mrs. Ed Lorensen, Mrs. Guy Hopkins, Mrs. Joseph John, and Mrs. Walter Luhring, accompani ed the young people to Lincoln Members of the American Le- gion Auxiliary met Friday for an all day sewing bee at their hall, j sewing for. the veterans at the Lincoln hospital. Mothers Day marked the spe cial service of baptism for Maria Jean Forsythe, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Forsythe, and of Ranndalll Louis Rehmeier, son of Mr. and Mrs. Vincent Reh meier, by Rev. Paul Walker of the Methodist Church, and of the receiving of three adult mem bers, bv letters from other churches.
