Root, long" prominent jurist and lawyer of Nebraska, occurr ed en Fridav at. He reports that the northwest th street, but of late has been i is quite restless with strikes that residing at a convalescent heme where she passed away. The deceased lady was known to a number of the older resi dents of this city who will re gret to learn of her death. Private funeral services were held today (Monday) at 2 o'clock at the Burkett chapel. The body was brought to Plattsmouth for burial in the family plot in Oak Hili cemetery. MERRY WORKERS CLUB The Merry Workers club held their meeting at the home of Mrs. Albert Snell April 20. The meeting was called to order by the president, Mrs. Henry Vin duska.. Roll call was answered by favorite flower. There were 16 of. the 20 members pres ent. The club took in four new members, they being Mrs. Lloyd McKenna. Mrs. Robert Yallery. Mrs. George Mayabb and Mrs. William Burton. The club made plans for their twenty-tilth anniversary to be iieid June 15, 1948. Also had election of officers.
