Lentz - Monroe Wedding Held Friday E vening In a Christmas setting of holly, pine and candlelight at the Christ Lutheran church, west of this city, on Friday, December 12th at 7 p. m. Miss Maria Lentz, daughter of Dr. and Mrs. A. B. Lentz, of Louisville, became the bride of James L. Monroe, son of Mr. and Mrs. Lester Monroe of Omaha. The bride entered on the arm of her father, who also perform ed the marriage service. The fitted bodice of the bride's gown was Alencon lace with a dropped net yoke. Forming a cuff on the sleeves and accenting the dropped yoke and waistline were lace flowers centered with clusters of seed pearls. The skirt was eggshell satin with a two and a half yard train. The veil of eggshell French illusion fell from its own plaited tiara. She carried a white orchid on a white Bible with streamers tied with stephanotis. The matron of honor was Mrs. Robert Scherer of Omaha and bridesmaids were Cheryl Roche and Marlynn Gardner. They both wore red velveteen cowns and carried cascade bouquets of white carnations and pompoms. The bride's sister, Joanne, sang "I Love You Thee" by Grieg. She wore a red faille gown with a corsage of white carnations. Mrs. Edward Wehrbein was the accompanist for the song. Miss Joanne Lentz played the bridal chorus from "Lohengrin" for the entry of the bridal party and Mendelsohns wedding march for the recessional. The bride's mother were roy al blue with a gardenia and stephanotis corsage. The groom's mother wore black with seauins and corsage stephanotis. of gardenia and Robert Putt, Jack Roche Bill Otis of Omaha served ushers for the service. A reception was held in and as the fol- church parlors immediately lowing the ceremony for guests. The four tier wedding cake was baked by a friend of the bride, Mrs, Forrest Enselke- meier, and cut by the bride's aunt, Mrs. Harold Duis, of Fair- bury, Nebraska. The Misses Nor ma and Betty Schafer cf Cmaha assisted with the serving. Miss June Keil was in charge of the guest book and Mrs. Elmer Maatsch of Odell, Nebraska, aunt of the bride, Airs. Glen Kraegar, and Mrs. Franklin Vehrbein of Plattsmouth arranged the gifts. The couple left immediately following the reception for a southern honeymoon and will be at home at 504 South 37th St., Omaha after January first. The bride's going away costume was a brown tweed suit with brown alligator accessories and white orchid corsage.
