Mr. and Mrs. Dallas Hunt and children spent Sunday afternoon at the Martin Stenberg home. Mr. and Mrs. Martin Stenberg and family had Thanksgiving dinner at the Nels Stenberg home. Lawrence Stenberg of Cmaha was also a guest. Mr. and Mrs. Irwin Hauschild and family had Thanksgiving dinner at the Louis Hauschild home. Mr. and Mrs. Irwin Hauschi!d and children spent Sunday at the Alva Ziegenbein home. There were sixty-six of the fathers and sons assembled for this very delightful and inspira tional event. The Ladies Aid society of the church prepared the banquet that was served by the girls of the Christian Endeavor society. The menu of the banquet was as follows: Tomato Juice cock tail, Golden Glow Salad. Butter ed Peas, Esal loped Chicken and Noodles. Mashed Potatoes and Gravy. Buttered Rolls and Jelly, Beet Pickles, Pie a la mode, cof fee. Robert Cole presided as toast master in his usual clever man ner to present the various speakers on the program. The messag-e of welcome was given bv Tom Grosshans, the president of the Brotherhood. The Murray male quartet, composed of Dale Wohlfarth. Olin Morris, J. P. Comstock and Dale Long gave a very fine mu sical contribution to the pro gram. They were accompanied at the piano by Mrs. Olin Morris. C. A. Wetenkemp gave the greetings of the father to the sons while the response was giv en by Emerson Wiles for the son:;. The address of the evening was by Raymond C. Cook, state president of the Brotherhood who had as his subject, "Stop, Have You Lost Anything?-' Mr. Cook urged the auditors to heed the messages that taught of the one way. the right way of life. To devote their time and leisure to the worthy thinr.; and forsake the wrong means of entertainment, giving their best for the good of mankind. Mr. and Mrs. Orville Sandy were bunday afternoon callers at the Raymond Nelson home. Mr. and Mrs. Harold Richards, John and Elizabeth spent Sun day at Schuyler at the Glen Fos not home. Elizabeth Richards of Lincoln spent the week end at home. Rev. and Mrs. Vernon Stremp ke were Sunday dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. John Maack. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Maack and children were also guests. Don Bornemeier of Murdock was a Sunday dinner guest at the Bruce Sowards home. Mr. and Mrs. Harold Kellogg and children spent Wednesday evening- at the Fred Rueter home at Alvo. Marjorie Remmenga spent the week end at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Marcus Rikli. On Fri day evening they attended the Junior Play at the Murdock High School. Harry and Ervin Lenhard of Douglas brought their father, Jacob Lenhart, to the John Remmenga home on Friday where he remained for a few weeks. Examination For Teachers December 13th The Nebraska State Teachers' Examinations will be conducted on December 13, 1P47 at the courthouse, Plattsmouth, Nebras ka beginning at 8:00 A. M by County Superintendent B.hr ends. In order to take the state teachers' examinations, the pros pective teacher must be en rolled in or have completed the eleventh grade; except that in order to take the examination in Elementary Courses nf Study and Theory and Art of Teaching, he must be enrolled in or have completed the twelfth grade.
