THE PLATTSMOUTIT, PAGE SIX Good Neighbor Day December 7 The American Legion execu tive committee at their meeting Monday evening took up the matter of the observance of "Good Neighbor Day" as urged by the national commander. This event will be on December 7th and at which time all members of the Legion and the Legion Auxiliary will join in the pleas ant occasion. It is hoped to have an out standing speaker here for the occasion to talk over the prob lems of the organization. PROGRAM AT HIGH SCHOOL Last Wednesday afternoon the hig-h school and junior high school students and faculty members enjoyed a Thanksgiv ing program in the assembly room. Two selections were play ed by a saxophone trio, Garold Michaclson, Raymond Hild and Jerry Sharpnack accompanied on the piano by Kathleen Fold house n. Burrcll Evans led, the assembly group in sing ing "God Bless America." Rev. Ivan Kilpatrick of the Evangelic al United Brethren church was the speaker. Garold Michaelson read a theme, "Thanksgiving", written by John Thimgan. The program closed with a song by Carol Lou Bernhardt, "Bless This House." She was accompanied by Mary Todd. Visit in Iowa Mr. and Mrs. John Bauer, jr., drove to Coon Rapid, Iowa with her brother, Herbert Snyder xi Omaha for a Thanksgiving din ner with their sister and family, Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Klocke. In the evening they were dinner guests of another sjster and fam ily, Mr. and Mrs. John Ertz of Gliddon, Iowa where they were joined by their parents and brothers and sister, Mr .and Mrs. Frank Snyder, Paul, Alfred, Jack and Kathleen of Breda, Iowa and later by Mr. and Mrs. Klocke.
