Mr. and Mrs. Henry Lidgett and small son left for their home last week, goinc; to Visalia, Cali fornia. The wife and little son visited relatives here for several weeks before Henry arrived. Miss Vivian Meisinger spent last week end in Lincoln. The first quarterly conference met at the Methodist Church last Monday evening. The new District Supt., Paul L. Hillman, conducted the business of this meeting. His wife was also with him and we all wer very happy to meet Mrs. Hillman, and hope she can be with us again at some future time. Mrs. Flora Murray of Weeping Water was visiting at the George Sline and Herman and George Ccmor hemes last week. Mrs. Earl Upton was hostess, serving delicious refreshments at the close of a busy afternoon. After a lengthy business meeting the ladies quilted and worked on items for the Bazaar. We were very happy to have Rev. and Mrs. Williams with us at this meet ing, and hope they will come of ten. A reception for our pastor and family and the teachers of our schools is being planned for Tuesday, October 14th at the church. Donald Wulf son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Wulf, who attended Midland college at Fremont for three years, has transferred tc the University of Nebraska for his senior year. Harold Porter, formerly of Eagle, is attending Nebraska Wesleyan University, where he is a junior. Mrs. W. B. Hursh returned from Denver last Saturday where she had spent about ten days with her son, Orville Hursh and family. Supt. and Mrs. Lehman enjoy ed having as their week-end guests their son-in-law and daughter from Kansas City. Mrs. Raymond Oldfield and son Dickie, left the latter part of the week for Texas, where they will join Mr. Oldfield, who is employed by a gas company. Mrs. Frank Frolich entertained the O.S.C.
