The hall was beautifully doc orated in green and white with gilt corn to carry out the Korn scheme. The throne was placed at the south wall, banked with beautiful fall flowers. The princesses, in their lovely green and white formal frocks, lulled both sides of the stairway for the ascent of the King and Queen into the hall. Then they lined both sides of the white lane in the ballroom and the Royal party proceeded as fol lows. Junior King Ronald Eiser man and Junior Queen Joan Cecil marched up th-? white lane taking their" places at either side of the throne. Then King- Donald Born and Queen Katherine Conis marched to the throne followed by the ladies-in-waiting, Miss Joan Tiekotter and Miss Doris Johnson. The dance folloKved the Grand March and a large attendance en joyed dancing to the music of Ray Bachman's band.. The ball was sponsored by the Junior Woman's Club, the chair man being Mrs. Orville Nielsen with Mrs. June Jacobs, co- ,' chairman. Miss Ruth Patton, Mrs. William Schmidtmann, Jr., Mrs. William Nelson, Miss Nor ma Spidell, Miss Doris Lutz, Mrs. Louise Huebner, Mrs. June Ja cobs. Mrs. Orville Nielsen. Wil liam Steinkamp and A. R. Rich ards. Mrs. Louise Huebner was ticket chairman. She was assist ed by Mrs. Mable Tiekotter. Mrs. Nielsen and Mrs. Jacbos wish to express their apprecia tion for the able assistance of all who helped in any way to make the Koronation Ball a success and to help start the Korn Kar nival in a formal manner. The committee of Koronation Ball also wishes to give special thanks to the Hofmockel Flower Shop for their flower donations at the hall, the Hiatt Furniture ! She came as a bride to North Branch community Otoe County, where Mr. Harmer j owned a farm, and where all of ; her seven children were born. j In 1903 she bought a farm in the Laurel Hill District west of ' Weeping Water, where she has , resided since a period of 4-i i years. Tt the time she came to Otoe j County bands of roving Indians j camped very frequently on their : farm, which was located on the i North Branch of the Nemaha ; River. They would come to her home and beg for food, which j she frequently gave them. Her j home was known as a place of ! friendliness and good will. It1 was a mecca for people who i sought the companionship of honest pioneer folks, whose gen- ; erous hearts pulsated in sympa- ; thetic understanding of all the ; varied problems which eftect hu- Toad man relationsnips, especially in a pioneer community. Mrs. Harmer will be remem bered as a loving and devoted mother whose whole life was given over to the happiness and welfare of others. She believed that "it is more blessed to give than to receive,' and it was that philosophy of life that endeared her to all whose privilege it was i to know her. She was one of the early pioneers of eastern Nebras ka who faced the trials and hard ships with other courageous sett lers, fighting and battling the j many obstacles ana 1 1 tne ena conquering- them that we might to-day enjoy the many convtn i iences and comforts of modern I day civilization. Mrs. Leesley underwent an operation for infection on her knee. Mrs. Joe Leesley spent Tues day in Lincoln. Mr. and Mrs. Claude Osburn and Rodger called or. Mr. and Mrs. C. C. Robinson in Ashland Sunday night. Mr. and Mrs. Turley Wall and Mr. and Mrs. Robert Wall and children drove to North Bend Sunday and spent the d3y at the Francis Bolte home. A. L. ' dd was a dinner guest at the .Lmil Meisinger home Monday. Mrs. Emil Meisinger and A. L. will leave Tuesday for a visit with relatives at Cleveland and Conneaut. Ohio. She is survived by i her thrte sons: Clarence, Walter, and Frank; and four daughters, Jessie Harmer, Mrs. M. II. Prall, and Mabel Harmer, and Ursula Harmer; and by one grandson. Linvilie, I Prall, of Galiun, New Mexico. Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon, September 13. at the Hobsen Funeral Home, with Rev. Paul W. Walker in charge ot the service.
