Spidell, West Pearl Street 7 -fc ' t . 1 Tl GO We've all tried to do it at one time or another to make a little bit go a long ways. But you can only stretch things about so far, and then some one has to be left out That's what we're up against right now, for there just isn't enough Natural Gas to go around to make the rounds of all the folks who want Natural-Gas for home heating. We realize how many home owners have waited patiently during the shortages of the war years to replace a worn-out or antiquated heating plant with a new trouble-free automatic gas furnace. The unfortunate truth is that there is still a shortage of the large diameter steel pipe so the pipeline companies are unable to increase their facilities with which to furnish us with suf ficient additional Natural Gas to take care of all our requests. We must therefore, necessarily limit installation of NEW NATURAL GAS heating services to NEW CONSTRUCTION ONLY. This we believe at least will assist in aiding the acute housing shortage. So, until some future date when pipeline companies can provide MORE Natural Gas . . . we'll simply have to say: "Sorry, there's just not enough to go arouncj!" This curtailment, of course, does not apply to the use of Natural Gas for cooking, water heating and refrigeration either for present or prospective customers. A'o curtailment uill be placed on the use of Natural Gas for refrigeration, water healing, cooking , or commercial non space heating uses for present or pros pective customers. I 1
