Westover underwent a major operation last Thursday at Immanuel hospital. Omaha. Fouchek-Garnett LAWYERS Bonded Abstracters AN IMPORTANT Announcement TO EVERY PRESENT AND PROSPECTIVE User of Natural Gas 'T'HERE is no shortage of Natural Gas. The supply is adequate for many years to come. The present problem is one of transporting the gas from the large gas fields of Texas and Oklahoma to this area. This problem results from a shortage of steel with which to build additional pipelines. The pipeline company has been mak ing every effort for some time to im prove this condition, but shortage of steel for pipe has proved to be a "bottleneck". Some relief is antici pated before cold weather sets in, but as yet, it is not definite. Therefore, this Company is obliged to continue certain restrictions as to the use of Natural Gas for space heating. No "Conversions" Accepted Becouse of this condition your gas company is unable to permit the con version to Natural Gas of furnaces now burning other types of fuel. This means that it will be necessary that those persons now using coal and oil for heating, continue to use their pres ent equipment and fuels for at least another year. A daughter Karen Irean was born to Mr. and Mrs. Harry W. Porter. August 5 at the Clarkson hospital in Omaha. Grandparents i are Mr. and Mrs. John Alexen and Mr. and Mrs. John Porter of this city. J. New Construction Only The pipeline company anticipates that they will be able to make a limited amount of additional Natural Gas available in this area before the next heating season. This limited amount, it is hoped, will be adequate to take care of most of the demand for space heating in new residential construc tion. We feel an obligation to new home builders that are faced with heavy in vestment for heating to provide for their needs so far as possible now, thus eliminating added expense within a few years for gas burning equipment. We also fee! that by limiting these services to newly constructed homes we are aiding the critical housing shortage. NO CURTAILMENT SITUATION No curtailment will be placed on the use of Natural Gas for cook ing, water heating, refrigeration, or commercial non-space heating for present or prospectire customers. 99 : i r y n y o s .- -At.. .7"
