Lentz, performed the cere mony, using the dcmble ring ser vice. The church was beautifully decorated with flowers. Red roses were on the altar and lage bas kets of mixed flowers were on each side of the altar. Miss Joanne Lentz played the wedding march from "Lohen grin" and also accomoanicd Miss Rosemary Steppat who sang, "I Love You Truly." The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a white sum mer suit of gabardine with a small white hat trimmed in black. Her corsage was red roses. Miss Jeanne Allen was brides maid. She wore a white shark skin dress, a white hat and white accessories. She also had a cor sage of red roses. 1 Kenneth Petereit, cousin of the bride, was best man. Both men wore brown suits with white lapel carnations. The bride was graduated from the Plattsmouth high school in 1946. After her graduation she was employed for several months with The journal and is now in the. law offices of Smith and Le bens. She is a member of the Christ Lutheran church and is the first member to have the three rites of baptism, confirma tion and marriage conferred by Dr. Lentz. Mr. Steppat was graduated from the high school in 1943 and later served two years in the navy. He is now employed with a business f;rm at Fort Crook. After a short wedding trip the young couple returned to Platts mouth and are now at home in an apartment on Third avenue. Miss Stubbendieck Weds Melvin Carr AVOCA (Special) A lovely candlelight wedding took place Friday evening at 8 o'clock, in the Congregational church in voca, when Miss LeAnna Louise Stubbendieck, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Stubbendieck, and Melvin A. Carr, son of Mr. and Mrs. A. W. Carr, were united in j marriaee. Reverend Val John- sen of Wann performed the i ceremony before 250 guests. Mrs. Henry Maseman and Mrs. Henry Smith accom panied her." Lohcngrins and Mcndelssohns Marches were used as the processional and recess ional A white cloth carpeted the aisle. The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a gown of white slipper satin styled with a heart-shaped neckline and long, tight sleeves which came to points at the wrist. Both wore veils to match and had wristlet and hair corsages of pink carnations. Leo Carr, brqther of the groom, was best man, and Don Stubben dieck, cousin, of Lincoln, was al so an attendant. Irving Stub bendieck and Jack Hallstrom were ushers. Immediately following the ceremony a reception was given in the town hail, by the bride's parents. A pink and yellow color scheme was used in the decoration. A two-tier wedding cake decorated with 'bells and the traditional bride and groom, adorned the bride's table. Mrs. Lois Tefft and Marvin Stubbendieck ushered the guests to the reception parlor while friends and sisters of the bride and groom assisted with the srrvinfr. Arvilla Kuennine. York, were married in the United Presbyterian church at North Bend. .Using the double ring ceremony, the marriage lines were read by Dr. A. W. Martin, Bible instructor at Tar kio college, the alma mater of both the bride and her groom. the organ, playing the traditional wedding marches from "Lohen grin" and by Mendelssohn. Other selections were "Believe Me If All Those Endearirg Young Charms," "Clare de Lune," and "Always In My Heait," played before the ceremony. Willard Scott, brother of the bride, sang "The Lord's Prayer" and "Because," accompanied by Mrs. Mehaffey. The bride was beautiful in a gown of white lace fv hioned with, fitted bodice, full skirt and long train Her finger-tip veil was of illusion net caught to her hair by a tiara of' seed pearls. She wore a gold choker necklace, set with rubies, a g:ft of the groom, and carried a sheaf of deeo red roses which contrasted strikingly with her dark brunette coloring.
