Flower Display And Garden Club Tea Are Success About fifty people were pres ent the flower display and rrri-ident's Tea snonsored by the members of the Plattsmouth Gar den club last Tuesday afternoon. The colorful display and artistic arrangements were proof of the i interest taken by local flower j love rs. The fist cf its kind since the j organization of the club in 1934. the President's Tea was a oro 1 nouneed success. Leaders from neighboring 1 wet :! neighboring societie were pesor.t and contributed much to the program. Mrs. Fred F. Grousemm, Om aha, past president of the Fed erated Garden Clubs of Nebras ka i director of flower arransre mers at Joslyn Memorial. The latter is a recently to spend some time with her parents there. Many people were busy on Thursday getting the water from their basements because of the very heavy rain the night be fore. The bridges near town were damaged a great deal. '' Mrs. C. H. Lind received word last week that her niece, Mrs. James Webster of BouMer, Col orado was killed bv a stroke of liehtning. She and a wife of ; a professor in that city were struck while picking wild flow ers. Three children with them wero iniured but not killed. Lind's sister. Mrs. Gus Ander son of Burlinetcn. Iowa is here mow for a visit, coming here af ter attending Mrs. Webster's funeral at Boulder Tuesday. Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Miller are here from California visiting rel atives. From there they expect to go on to Seattle and other points west to visit other relatives. Mr. and Mrs. Ashmun came from South Dakota to visit friends and relatives in this state. She is the former Aurell Bragg. She reports that her sis ter Jessie Bragg is on her way home from India, where she has been a missionary for a good many years.
