Mr. and Mrs. John Krueger have a now Pldsmobile. Mrs. I'olich, a former teacher here visited school on Thursday. Mrs. Frank Rosenow, who has spent almost six weeks in the hospital with a broken hip came home Thursday. She is able to pet around a little on her crutch es. Mr. and Mrs. Verle Drunkow have had company from Wyo ming this past week. The High School Girl's Glee club gave a tea Friday afternoon in honor of their mothers. Ladies Aid met at the home of Mrs. V. O. Schewe Thursday af ternoon witha very good attend- ! ance. Assisting hostesses were Mrs. Alvin Neitzel and Mrs. Carl Buck. Mr. and Mrs. Everett Lindell were Lincoln shoppers on Friday. Mr. and Mrs. Aaron Nice and children of Broken Bow visited at the Charlie Srtoy home over the weekend. Mrs. Nice was for merly Eleanor Stroy. Mr. and Mrs. Harry Gillespie Murdock over the weekend. Mr. VV. O. Gillespie and Paul Stock were Lincoln business visi tors on Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. Chester Elseman spent Sunday in Omaha at the home of Mr. Elseman's mother. A dinner was held at the Lome of Mr. and Mrs. Rueben Stock on Sunday in honor of Mrs. Doris Weber of California who is here on a visit. Those present were Mr. and Mrs. Albert Borne meier, Mick and Carol, Mr. and Mrs. William Rueter, Mr. and Mrs. R. A. Miss Eloise Pool of Lincoln and Miss Hazel Pool of Geneva were weekend guests at the home of their parents, Mr. and Mrs.Olar ence Pool. Chapter BT, P. E. O. held their regular meeting Friday afternoon at the home of Mrs. D. D. Wains cott, in Lincoln, with Mrs. Carl E. Tefft as co-hostess. Mrs. Wains-1 cott is a formed member of the I Weeping Water chapter. Dr. and Mrs. L. N. Kunkel ar-1 rived home Friday afternoon, af ter a months vacation, which was spent in California. They found him to be showing improve ment, after a rather serious two weeks following an operation. Mr. and Mrs. Clarenc? Pool re ceived a message telling of the death of Mona Kleckner Colbert, wife of Dr. Harry Colbert, den tist, of Scottsbluff. which occur red Wednesday, of last week. Burial was Monday. May 11, at Scottsbluff. Mrs. Colbert is well remembered in Weeping Water as she was music instructor at the Weeping Water Academy, for sev eral years. They have one son.
