It took the -.vork cf ev;-y zsn:. Hut their work has endured for many centuries and v.-iii u.s Izs T.jry more. The magnificent Wonders were built for perrr.ar.er.c;'. You, too, can build for permanency: the permanency of Plaits mouth your community.- Your home is here; Your children go to school here. Your automobile travels the roads in the ccmnvjnkiy. . . And ycu u;e the; many municipal buildings i.n the csmmunity. No doubt these are tak ;n for canted. They seem to be part of the permanent community. They ave. Dut only so long as you continue to support the community. Of course, you would answer that you take part i.n the activities of the community, give time to dives and campaigns. 'That is helping to build the morale cf the community. But there is something else. It means building the physical characteristics of the community for permanency. When ynu shop in he "big city," ycu are unwittingly detracting fryra a permanent community. For ycu are taking money out of town toat if spent here' would aid in building better schools, all-weather roads, Letter mv.nicipai buildings. Tor a part cf the money spent on each purchase you make in your own community froes to the community in taves. These taxes sup port and promote better community facilities. When you shop in the "big city" those taxes are lost. And the community does .not benefit. If a single dollar spent in rilismouih ran through the regular channels of trde for five years, the ross profit would be more than $12,503,000. This in itself would provide all-weather reads on every road in the county. Mew schools could be built. Auditorium and recre ation centers could be erected. And the bonded debt of all civic mun icipal organizations v. ould be erased . . . stiil leaving additional money. These facts can be proven. You can prove to yourself that the community can prosper. Shop Platt.-mouth First and watch the com munity grow. Real estate velues ycur home will rise. More -rhcols will be built. Better recreation programs will be installed. The community will benefit.
