At that time she was a frivolous, gaglin; youngster. Tcday it is different. Zhe Lrt3 grown into womanhood. She is married and daily is answering the problems of her family. She Las learned much, tr.d 13 learning as she meets each new problem. Mary Smith is a big girl now- blzry Smith, iilte many of the other girls she played with when she was growing up, knows the value of the community. . . . - She know that each individual adds to the communtiiyty according to their activities and their pride in the community. Their pride is manifest bytheir actions and activities. If they have the right pride in the town, they support the churches, the schools, the community activities and the commercial establishments. All but the Iatfer are vital to the social and cultural life of the community. The support of the commer cial establishments is tha life blood of the community. As Mary Smith trades at home and in the local stores, part of each of her purchase dollars go directly to the county i.n taxes. Part goes to increase the sales force of the various stores. Part goes to increase the stock of the stares. The community thrives. The taxes paid by the merchants, amounting to about two-thirds cf total taxes paid in the county, go to support the ichocl;, the road programs, the municipal building and maintenance activities- Taxs lost by purchases being made in the big city deprive the county of better roads, better schools, bet ter bui'dinrrs and the corvtmui'ty withers. When you shop in your home town, you build the community, increase the value of your home, develop pride in the community and the activities cf the town. y.,. - - iWin if " ffitf 4 if.-'-- W:i..-.l,:-:.imvJ( . .ifMnnrtY la mju.M 9 - ' - J I '.L I'll 9 H I s 1 u 3 ' 'fa THE FIRST PLACE ro LOOK THE LAST PLACE TO OVERLOOK 1 ley apent in riausmoutn aops Stays to Make e Town the Tops Sponsored By PLATTSMOUTH BUSINESSMEN'S AD CLUB - ' " C(AU 1111 '"" ! t0V!"nuI if rl O J POPULAR PRICES . mthawo I j CLEAN.
