We are vitally concerned about the condition of the playing field at the Athletic Park. This has been brought to our attention very realistically by the last two football games which were played in mud and water. Our immediate objective is to raise $6,000.00 and our ultimate goal is a 830,000.00 Concrete Bleachers and Dressing Q uarters. Our present immediate task is to obtain 86,000.00 to be used in draining, grading, fencing and sodding the playing field. When this has been accomplished, the Athletic Park would be used for all types of athletic contes ts, King Korn Karnival Coronation, Horse Show, Calf Show, Band Concerts, Easter Sunrise Service. Pageants. Summer playground pro grams, in fact, any public activity which woul d not in any way destroy the grass or otherwise damage the field. Within the next few days a soiiciter will call on you for a contribution towards this worthwhile enterprise. If this representative fails to see you, we hope you will stop in at the Plattsmouth State Bank and leave your contribution with Carl Schneider who has been prevailed upon to assume the responsibility as treasurer of this particular movement. Very truly yours, D. T. Edwards, Secretary Community Planning Committee P. S.
