Visiting From Iowa Miss Frances La Suer of Moor head, la., arrived Tuesday to visit her brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Virgil Urish, before tak ing up her position as a teacher at Whiting, la. Return from Florida Mr. R. B. Keller and daughter, Claudeen, returned to Platts mouth Monday afterspending two weeks in Jacksonville, Fla., where he was delegate to the Na tional Signalman's convention. They also visited at St. Augus tine, and Marine Land, the only oceanarium in the world. Visiting Sistsr Mrs. Blanche Northcutt of Om aha arrived Wednesday to visit at the home of her brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. John Crabil, for a week. On Business Trip Mrs. D. R. Busick left Monday for Kansas City on a business trip While there she will visit with Mr. Busick's parents, mouth and Omaha. Ccnley Galloway also left for .California where he will resume his duties in the army after spend ing three weeks furlough her; with his parents. Return from Colorado T. H. (Bert) Pollock and party returned to Piattsmouth Saturday evening from a two-week trip to Colorado. After spending Saturday evening at the home of Mr. and Mrs. V. W. Perry, Mr. and Mrs L. O. Premiums on To $5 In KKKKK Show With but one more official meeting scheduled between now and the Kass Kounty King Korn Karnivai, most of the committee chairmen reported complete plans and details at the regular weekly meeting of the group Friday night in Bestor's dining room. Walter Smith, president of the King Korn Klub, and Vincent Kelly, general chairman for the 1946 Karnivai received the re ports of the various committees and led discussions on the over all program. Floodlights Received Ten floodlights for permanent installation were received Fri day. Each light carries a 1,500 watt bulb and will project, it ii believed, enough light to make Plattsmouth's Main street af bright as day during the nights of the Karnivai. Fred Wehrbein, chairman for Farmer's Day, announced that $5 would be paid to each youngster entering a calf in the Calf Show, an attraction of that day. At ! first the premium was $3 for each can. space is limiteu, it w as learned, but it is believed that some 50 calves can be quartered in the old elevator on the east end of First Avenue. Eleven Bands on Program Dave Fowler, chairman of tha bands, announced that eleven bands were secured for the four day Karnivai. On other programs throughout the state, teven bands seemed to be the largest number. Plattsmouth ranking higher bj four. A booster trip for Wednesday was announced by Robert Bestor, chairman of the Promotion com mittee. Mrs. Asch has recently made her home at the the home of her niece, Mrs. Purvience of Los An geles, where she suffered her third stroke, and died Aug. 7 at a san atorium near Los Angeles at the age of 87.
