Plattsmouth Personals Sunnytide Farm Bureau Elects Officer C. P. Applegate was elected president of the Sunnyside Farm Bureau Monday evening at the pic nic chicken supper held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Lester Mei singer. It was also decided to have a guest speaker at the September meeting. There were 26 members present. Mrs. Emma S. Kaffen berger was added to the unit. The bureau turned 5.50 over to the cancer fund . Other officers elected were Ral ph Wehrbein, vice-president; Mrs. C. P. Applegate, secretary; jus. Wallace Warner, news reporter. Attend Wedding in MUsouri Raymond Kellison, Mr. and Mrs. W. D. Kellison, Mr. and Mrs. Koy Clark and Miss Virgie Alyce Clark drove to Unionville, Mo, to at tend the wedding Sunday of Miss Hazel Kuniman of Taumarunui, New Zealand, to Albert J. Put man. Rev. Willis Putman, who performed the ceremony, is an uncle of the groom. Both men are nephews of Mr. and Mrs. W. D. Kellison. Leave for Alburquerque Jim Alkire, son of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Alkire. and Pete. Hill, son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Hill, left Monday for Albuquerque, N. M-, where they will spend two weeks visiting relatives of the Alkires. Receives Cablegram Mrs. Robert Pankonin received a cablegram Saturday from her husband saying that he would ar rive in Seattle Monday, Aug, 12. From there Lt. Pankonin will go to Camp Beale, Calif., where he will start his terminal leave. Taken to Hospital Frances Eastridge, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. II. Eastridge, was taken to the University hos pital in Omaha Monday to under go an appendectomy. Mason-Steinkamp Wedding WEEPING WATER (Special) Andrey Mason, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Mason of Louis ville, and Edward Dale Steinkamp son of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Stein kamp of -Weeping WTater, were married June 27 at Hiawatha, Kans. Dalbert Greedy, of Sidney Iowa accompanied the couple to Suffer Slight Stroke John W. Crabill suffered a slight stroke Monday evening. He is reported to be in satisfactory condition but it is necessary that he remain in bed a few days. Visiting Cousin in Omaha Donna Lee Sprieck, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Sprieck, is spending the week in Omaha with her cousin, Shirley BarteK. Leave for Vacation Mr. and Mrs. Glen Wetenkamp and children, Mrs. Mary Jenny of Omaha, sister of Glen Wetenkamp, George Lewis Frady, jr., of Omaha and John Frady and mother, Airs. Virginia Frady have left on a two week trip by cars to Oregon and Washington. Undergoes Operation Marlene Phillips, "granddaugh ter of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur C. Phillips, who underwent a leg oper ation two weeks ago at the Orth opedic hospital in Lincoln, will remain in the hospital for eight more weeks to recover from the operation. Home from Hospital Mrs. John W. Crabill arrived home Tuesday from St. Catherine's hospital in Omaha where she has been undergoing treatment for the past ten days. Leave for Colorado Springs Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Ofe left Tuesday for Colorado Springs where they will stay for two weeks. Sunbonnet Garden Club Meets The Sunbonnet Garden clubj met Thursday with Dorothy Bow man. The 16 members present re sponded to the roll call with the names of their favorite poem. Two poems were given. Mr?. Ma rion Christenson recited "Beaut iful Hands" and Mrs. Celia Lan caster gave 'Telephone Conversa tion." Two cornet solos were giv en by ten-year-old Willard Chris tenson. Velma Brown was elected pres ident; Jessie Steinkamp, vice president; Ethel Dooley, secretary; Celia Lancaster, treasurer; Alice Shyrock, reporter. Guests at the meeting were Mrs. Laudie Wall, Mrs. Margaret Feld housen and Maxine Bowman. The next meeting will be held Sept. 13 at the home of Celia Lan caster. Mrs. Steinkamp graduated from Louisville high school in 1946. Mr. Steinkamp received his discharge from the navy in May after two and a half years service. Bruning received word Tuesday that his cousin, George Sullivan, of Los Angeles, died Sat urday. His death was caused by wounds received in World war I.
