Dr. and Mrs- Brooks were the guests. Mr. and Mrs- Kenneth Heard and family left last Thursday foi Missouri to visit his parents and sister. Mr. and Mr. Eud Wirth were Sunday dinner guests at the Earn est SeShlauter home at Murdoek. Mr. and Mrs. Gale Wirth and Mr. and Mrs- William LaRue and family of Lincoln were Louis ville callers last week. Chester Elseman of Murdoek has been painting and hanging some paper in town the last week. Mr. and Mrs. Gale Wirth and some friends were callers in town Sunday evening- Louis Schmidt of near Murdoek was a Wabash visitor Wednesday. Wabash Kensington met with Mrs. Kenneth Baier last Wednes- i " " x - ent in spite of the muddy roads. The next meeting will be Julv 17 i at the home if Mrs. Keith Mum- ford. r Mrs. Bert Barden went to Lin coln Thursday to spend a few days with friends. Leon Frisbie of Sacramento, Calif., arrived here Thursday to visit his father, Henry Frisbie. Saturday they went to Lincoln to visit relatives and left from there Tuesday to visit Mrs. Leonard Rush and family and the Claude Frisbie family at Richmond, Hi. Mrs. Rush is a sister of Claude and Leon Frisbie. Mr. and Mrs. Keith Munford and Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Richards were Lincoln shoppers Friday af ternoon. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Colbert and Theresa were Weeping Water vis itors Saturday afternoon. Edgar Burgen and children were shopping in Weeping Water Sat urday. Frank Reese, Les Bossworth and Warren Richards were Weep ing Water callers Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Golden and Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Richards vis ited with the Noel Golden family near Palmyra Saturday evening. Mr. and Mr. Clifton Ruther ford of Lincoln were Saturday evening visitors at the Keith Mun ford home. Mr. and Mrs. Donald Weimer rnd family visited Sunday at the Walter Weimer home. Fon Wilson was a Wabash vis itor Sunday morning, when he came to get a car he was having repaired here. Mrs. Florence Wil son accompanied him to Lincoln and spent Monday visiting there. Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Smith and Roberta had as their weekend guests relatives from Yuma, Colo. Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Golden drove to Xebraska City Sunday afternoon, returning by the way of Syracuse where they had sup per with Mrs. Golden's uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Ronnon. Romance Finally Blooms WALPOLE, N. H. U.S) When John Kilurn Walpole's first set tler in 1749 left town because Col.. Benjamin Bellows, a later settler, was granted a charter from the Governor of New Hampshire, Bellows offered him any 50 acres if he'd come back. Kiiburn accepted and chose the land adjoining the Bellows' estate. Though the two families lived as neighbors for years, they never intermarried until nearly 150 years had passed at which time a fourth -generation Beillows mar ried a sixth-generation Kiiburn.
