Stresses Need of Fat Salvage Now Continuing importance of used household Fat Salvage for peace time production is stressed by Sec retary of Agriculture Clinton P. Anderson in a telegram yester day to Donald M. Pfeiffer, Presi dent of the National Renderers Association. "We urge that you ask all your members to continue their splend id work on the salvage of used I fats. Renderers and independent j collectors have a key role in the j Salvage Program. It is essential jthat they continue to complete the collection system. The end of consumer rationing of food fats and oils has in no way lessened the need for salvage fats for in dustrial use. Your continued co operation is reeded and will be ap preciated." Reports received by the Ameri can Fat Salvage Committer in dicate that there has been only a slight decline in used kitchen fats turned in to meat dealers since the cessation of meat rationing. Shortages of soap and other esV sential household articles whicltj depend upon industrial fats an.dt" oils seem to have convinced houe wives that fat salvage is still ".a number one duty. Efficient collection of used fats by meat dealers and pickup ser-j-vice-by Renderers and Railwlij!
