The Ladies Society of the Methodist Church held a Food Sale at their Center on Main St. last Saturday afternoon. C They also visited Mrs. Tom Mc Quin in an Omaha Hospital and report her condition favorable and expect her home some time this week. Mrs. Earl Upton called on the Bramblet ssters li,;t Saturday evening. The annual Junior Banquet for the Seniors was held at the Bapt ist Church Friday evening April 27. Promptly at 6:30 to the strains of "Under the Double Eagle" march the classes marched to the basement. Here the quests of the evening found a beautiful ly decorated room and tables. The colors used were pastels and the theme of the banquet was "Rain bow"'. A delicious three course meal was served by the Sopho more girls. Throughout the cour ses the guests were entertained with toasts and music. Later that evening many of those attending enjoyed movies at Nebraska City. The Faculty of the Union sch ools enjoyed a picnic at Platts mouth park Monday April 30. The funeral services for Mrs. Mary Sarpply, 92, was held in the Milford Evangelical church Wed nesday afternoon. Mrs. Sarpply was a former resident of Mur- dock while her husband was pas tor of the Murdock church. The road between Murdock and Ashland are said to be in very bad condition. , .
