Melvin Bauers of Omaha spent Monday night and Tuesday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Wall. Mrs. Charley Ward left Monday evening for California to spend Christmas with her daughter. Born to Mr. and Mrs. Harold Ol son, Saturday, Dec. 16, a daughter. Jollv Joker club met Thursday T-Sgt. Dale Jackson Writes from Germany ATTENDS SCHOOL MEETING Wednesday Mr. and Mrs. Frank A. Cloidt and Superintendent and Mrs. T. I. Friest were at Lincoln. They were attending the meeting of the School Men and School Board conference at which there were Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Jackson have just received a brief letter from their son, T.Sgt. Dale Jackson, a prisoner of war in Germany. The letter was written in September and present a great many of the school has been a long time on the way to , executives and board members the home. Mrs. Taylor is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Gochenour of this city. John Fischer Still Under Hospital Care Mrs. John Fischer, of near Mur- she spent a few hours with Mr. Fischer at the St. Joseph hospital. Mr. Fischer has been at the hos pital for some time and his condi tion has remained about the same and promises to require further treatment. The many friends are trusting return home to this city.
