Miss Eva Jane BunIy Becomes He Bride of Herbert Meisinger, Well Known Young Farmer A very pretty wedding: "was solemnized on Monday afternoon, December 25, at three o'clock, at the Methodist church in Springfield, when Miss Eva Jane Bundy, daugh ter of John Bundy of Springfield, Nebr., became the bride of Herbert Meisinger, son cf Mr. and Mrs. Philip M. Meisinger cf Louisville. Rev. F M. Druliner officiated at the impres sive double ring ceremony. The TxhenpTin Processional and I Mendelssohn's Recessional were play-' ed by Mrs. Mabel Schobert. James Rutherford, sister of Mrs. j the! bride, sang, ''I Love ou Truly.'' The bride, given in marriage by her father, was beautiful in a floor length gown of white satin, made on Princess- lines with a sweetheart neck line and tiered with white net with white satin bows. Her finger tip veil was fashioned of net with an embroidered Pearl Crown. She wore a gold locket, a gift of the groom and a gold band bracelet of her mothers, which was worn at her wedding. Miss Oce Maiie Boedeker, daughter of Mr .and Mrs. Edward J. Boedeker. and John Jochim, sfn of Mrs. Ed war! M. Jochim, of Louisville, were married i.t 6:30 with Mrs. Eugene Ludwick, at the pipe organ and Mir s Betty Ross, of Nehawka, sing ing "Because" before the wedding march proclaimed the arrival of the grcom and hi- lest man, Herbert Mann, of Papillion, next the brides maid, Mi-s Rosina Schacht of Aub urn, wearing a suit of brown wool gaberine, and carrying yellow rose buds. The bride, attired in a blue wool gabardine suit, and wearing a cor-age of gardenias, came down the aile on the arm of her father, who gave her in marriage. As the wedding party reached their place in front of the altar, Miss Ross sane "Oh Ferfect Love," after which Rev. Samuel McKeown performed the impressive ceremony. Decora tions were banks of evergreen and two tall candelabrum, each holding seven tall white candles, with ths deeply recessed windows of the enurch holding evergreen candles. Just preceding the arrival of the wedding party these candle? were all lighted by Miss Betty Bronson, of Louisville, and Miss Ruth Norris of Union. All other lights were dimmed. Following the ceremony a reception was neia in the parlors of the church, with re - freshments served at long tables in the dining room with Agnes May Wiles, Charlotte Rieke, Wilma Liv ingston, izola Holt and Theime Bor- jesen serving. Miss June Keil. of Plattsmouth, had charge of the gifts,! and Mis Mary Lou Garrison of Un - ion was m charge of the guc.-n book. L Vorndran Thursday Night Resident of the Community for More Then Fcrty Years Suffers Stroke Wednesday Thursday evening at 9:20 at his home in this city, Charles J. Vorn-j dran, 83, passed away after several years of failing health, in the past month his condition being very feeble and culminating in a cerebral hemorrhage Wednesday night. Mr. Vorndran was born at Tiffin, Ohio. February 16, 1861, spending Nebraska City, Mr. and Mrs. Louis his earlier years in that part of the! Kohre'.l, observed their fifty-eighth nation, later coming west and has. wedding anniversary, since made his home in the middle! This estimable couple have lived west, j in Nebraska City and Plattsmouth He came to Plattsmouth cmcjand vicinity all of the years of their forty years ago where his brother, j married life and have many friends John Vorndran, was located, mak-jin both cities. They were married in inf his romp here and was cn?a?f(l i Nebraska City. in working in the local Burlington' shops, later engaging in work cn many of the farms in this section of Cass county and was- with the late A. S. Will for many years. Mr. Vorndran also homesteaded near St. Francis, Kansas, for a short time but later returned to Platts mouth and in the more recent years has retired from active work. He is survived by a brother, Jos eph A. Vorndran. New Washington, Ohio, a half sister, Mrs. Clara Naus-e of Meridian, Mississippi, and a niece, Mrs. John Cloidt, of this city. The body is at the Caldwell funer- andial home at 7th and Oak streets, where the Rosary will be recited this evening a; S o'clock. Mr. Kohrell, who was born in Illinois, b 85 and Mrs. Kohrell, a native of Germany, will be eighty the coming February They have seven children: Carl, Omaha: Edward, Plattsmouth; Jesse, El Monte, Calif.; Mrs. Paul Pfann, Nebraska City; Herman, Scottsbluff; Albert, Omaha and Barritt, Vincen- nes, Ind Death of Mrs. Sophia Scheel Near Louisville The death of Mrs. Sophia Scheel, who has been making her home with her daughter, Mrs. Frank Riester, near Louisville, occurred Thursday morning at 10 o'clock at the Riester home. Mrs. Scheel is one of the best known residents of Cass county and the friends in all parts of the coun ty will regret to learn of her pass ing. The funeral servires will be held on Sunday afternoon at 2:30 from the home in Murdock to the Trinity Lutheran church, two miles north of Murdock. where services will be eld at 3 o'clock. Hostetter-Younker Wedding at Nebraska City Thursday at Nebraska City occur red the marriage of Donald H. Youn ker, son of Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Younker of Union, and Miss V. Max- ine Hostetter, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Dee Hostetter, of Murray. They were married at the county court room by Judge D. P. West. The young man is a member of the armed forces, serving in the United States navy and is at this time heme on a short leave. The groom is a grandson of Mrs. E. M. Buttery of this city and is known to many of the young people of the city. VISIT AT BLAIR Buddie Stull, accompanied by his nephews, Jerry and Lawrence Beth ei, sons of Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Beth el, visited Mr. and Mrs. Ray Ander son of Blair this week. Mrs. Anderson is a sister of Mr. Stull and aunt of the young lads, who are visiting at the Anderson home until New Years.
