Kdwln Terrell went to Omaha. Monday to visit Mrs. Terrell, who is a patient at the St. Catherine's hospital. She suffered a stroke Aug ust C6, and her ronditlion seems to remain about the same. Albeit Sill is taking a vacation and Calvin Carsten is substitute mall carrier on Route 1. Fred Marquardt and Robert were in Omaha Friday. Word was received here of the death of Lloyd Harmon. (UP) Violent fighting of the close-quarter "Caeslno" typo was raging today in Stolberg, Industrial; city five miles east of Aachen, with the Americans battling forward slowly. The Germans were counter attack ing In several sectors of the First army front, and using flame throw ers at some points. Widespread demolition was re ported in encircled Aachen. American bulldozers covered the entrance to a pill box in the Gress cnlch area when the Germans In there refused to surrender.
