Forty-four came in a similar way on August 6. ijg Mrs. John Lynn, a resident of Elm-jsEs wood for many years, passed away ?3 on Tuesday at Bryan Memorial hos-' J pital. The funeral will be held Fri-j-- day at the Clements undertaking, parlors. She leaves two sons, Ralph and Everett, of this place. Mr. E. Corban is building a new 22 addition to his home in the east part Ej of the town. He is fortunate, as he secured the lumber from a house on pj his farm,, and he can do the work lj himself. Mr. and Mrs. Max Lamb of Lin- coin were week end guests cf her -2 parent?, Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Greene. H. and Ernest Hollenbeck rpj families enjoyed a visit on Thursday ! with their nephew and son, Richard EE Hollenbeck, and wife at Weeping EE Water. The people of the band concert last Wednesday evening enjoyed es- EE pecially the baton twirling of Miss EE Zilmar of Wisconsin, who was visit- EE ing at the Gerhardt home near Mur dock. Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Fentiman of 22 Fortescue, Mo., and Mr. and Mrs. j Roy Fentiman surprised their nioth-! er and grandmother, last Friday, byj coming with a birthday dinner for !; her. Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Nash of EE Palmyra made their visit to Mrs. sS Alice Fentiman the previous Sunday,' Mrs. Nash being a daughter. Mr. and Mrs. Morris Merdenhall ss mm.-rm and son, John, are spending thi EE week visiting Mr. and Mrs. Schuyler EE Miller. Jr., at St. Louis, Mo. The fS ladies are sisters. The Louis Hohen becks are staying at the home in EE their absence. EE The Breakfast at Sardi's program pS at the Methodist church basement last week was a decided success. The floors are being sanded and re finished and new Sealtex ceilings 22 placed in the downstairs rooms. EE Rev. and Mrs. Andrew Janssen EE have been visiting her parents, Mr. m and Mrs. Ralph Greene. They left Tauesday for their home in Buck- ES hannon, West Virginia. 22 Superintendent and Mrs. Whitte- EE more and children spent the week end in Union with her mother, Mrs. ES L. R. Upton. EE Last Friday evening Mrs. Myrtle ES Robertson attended the piano recital in Eagle, in which her grandaughter had a part. " EE Special Journal Correspondence J. W.
