Visits With Father Mrs. Anna Nearhood has returned home from Lincoln where she was visiting over Father's day. The date of Father's day was also the birth day anniversary of Val Glebe, father of Mrs. Nearhood, who was celebrat ing his eighty-ninth birthday and (greatly enjoyed the opportunity or having the member of the family ' with him. Death Of Fred Kehne Long Time Resident Here After Long Period of Failing; Health One of the Well Loved Residents Answers Last Call t The death of Fred Kehne, 79, one of the lung time residents of this community occurred late Sa turday at the home of Air. and Mr- Fred Buechhr, where Mr. Kehne has made his home for the past few months with the daughter and fam ily. lie previously made is home in Hie residence on Gran lie street but due to his feeble condition it was necessary to have him cared for at the daughter's home. Fr.?d Ke n no was born in Leipzig, Germany, and when fourteen years of age came to ihe United Siates and located in Nebraska and for years was numbered among the best known farmers of this section of Cass county. In 1922 Mr. and Mrs. Kehne decided to quit active farming and moved to Plattsmouth where they p. '.remised a Home on Granite street. To Mr. and Mrs. Kehne there were born six children, five of these sur viving tbe passing of the parents. Mis. Mary Heideman, Niobrara, Ne braska, August Kehne. Winnetoon. Nebraska, Mrs. Louise Buechler, Flattsmoutii, Phillip Kehne. Platts mouth. The v. ife and one son. Frit?, preceded the husband and father in death. There; is also surviving twelve grandchildren and other relatives to momn his passing. The body vas taken to the Rattier funeral home at 4ih and Vine streets and the fir.ieral services will be held on Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the St. Paul's church of which Mr. Kehne was a long time member.
