In IS 90 he was married to Mary with his parents, when 19 years cf age. and settled near Louisville, Neb. Six jtars later, in 18S9, he came to this comnuir.ity and that same year joined the Callahan Evangelical church, to which he was loyal untc I'eath. In 1S90 he was united to Mary Dtttman ana lived cn a farm west of Murdock, until 1934 when they moved to Murdock. Into this home six children were born, Gus. Will, Martin. Ervin, Harry and Lydia. They also made a bene for Hazel Eifcerman-Miller, foster daughter. Ervin and Harry preceded him in death. The great interst of his life was the Kinedom of God and the welfare of his family He was converted in his youth and became a true follower of his Christ. He was held in such high esteem l;y his church that he was entrusted with tho offices of steward, trustee anl teacher in the Bible School. He leaves :he memories of a con serrated devtted Christian life which are b?yond price. There retrain to mourn his death, his wife, (lus, Will, Lydia and Hazel Miller, ::!;n seven grandchildren and l.iany relativess and friends. Services were held on Thursday al'ierr.co:i at the Callahan church, with Rev. F S. Weber in charge, and interment was in the cemetery near the church. S. arm tr' forces now total 201,454, an in crease of 3,5 SI above the figure a voek ago, it wa3 revealed today. Secretary tf War Henry L. Stim son told a press conference army casualties totalled li6,76 7 as ' of April 2Sth. Of these 27,297 were killed. 64,31 wounded, 33,715 miss- iing ana 31,3-3 prisoners of war. He added that S7.009 of the wounded have returned to duty. A navy casualty list released to 'iay showed 4 4,7 7 S casualties among the navy, coast guard, and marine corps. Of these 10,221 were dead, 3 2,070 wounded, 9,034 missing and oO,V9 6 prisoners. Holly ended the court phase of the Montgomery Ward seiz ure today by granting the .rovern ment's request for dismissal of the case without prejudice. Counsel for the company had ask ed that tho injunction proceedingss be dismissed with prejudice, a rul ing which would have prevented the government from re-opening the same injunction case. (UP) The Office of Pi ice Administration today formalized a previously announced order specif ing a reduction of 75c per cwt. in the ceiling price of live hogs weighing more than 240 pounds. The action, effective Monday was taken to discourage the feeding of corn to heavy weight hogs and to encourage the marketing of hogs be fore they reach 240 pound3. Johnson, Mrs. Bachelder being a sister of Mrs. Johnson. The party is criroute home from Washington, D C, where they have been visiting. This morning the Wyoming visitors with Mrs. Johnson departed for Craig-, Nebraska, where they will spent Mother's day with Mrs. II. Hancock, their mother.
