Remember how we enjoyed them and yet we worried about the wneat thought it would not come un on account of the dry condition of the soil. Those conditions applied almost exclusively to tho month of February. While the rains that we complain of now are building up a reserve stock 0f moisture that will tide us over a considerable amount cf dry weather through the grow ing season. We, have seen corn plant ed on the 30th of May 'that yielded GO bushels of good sound com per acre. There are o( days yet of con: planting season. The writer has re sided in Nebraska 61 years and there ha never been a year in which corn could not he planted in seasonable time to produce a crop if there was enough moisture.
