Maybe those foods can go to some other fighting man, fighting the same war on my boy's side. Maybe some Russian lad will eat a little better and fight a little harder, because I was careful not to waste a scrap of food. That helps bring my boy home sooner. ftu-m,Mjri Ba rM J. i fit m ? j$ 4 m $ ' ?sN r"-s ft. f X Jk" . ? . is td ih X i -4 J 'f . I English families have really gone 1 without so their boys can fight. I hope they will get some of the food our Victory Garden saved. They can't possibly raise enough food for themselves in that little bit of a country. We ought to help, if we can. And I often think I know how a family in those Nazi occupied coun tries must feel when they see my boy and his buddies march in and take over. No wonder they cheer. They're starved by years of cruel thievery. The coming of the Allies means food . . . food I can help to save for them : ; : food we all can help conserve.
