ITEMS By Journal Field Representatire Sale Is Good A large number attended the sale of the Upton hardware store stock which was held by Rex Young, auctioneer and clerked by W. E. McReynolds. W. A. Swatek of Platts mouth, Arthur Slander of Louis ville and Granville Ileebner of Ne hawka, were attendants at the sale. Sells Milk Route Roy Mullis. who has operated a milk route from Union and vicinity to Omaha, has disposed of same to Charles Atteberry. Mr.' Cogdill will take care of collection of the milk and getting same to market. Mr. and Mrs. Carl Nickles have moved to their recently purchased farm near here. Mr. and Mrs. Nick les are among the highly respected citizens of Cass County and the peo ple of Union extend a hearty wel come to them. Mrs. Dale Karnoff was hostess to the Union card club last Friday, when the members enjoyed a most pleasant afternoon. Here from Air Base Paul Mullis, who is employed at the Lincoln air base, visited over the week end at the Roy Mullis home and also with Mr. and Mrs. H. H. Becker. Eunice Surface, employed in a cafe at Flattsmouth visited with . home folks in Union Sunday. Mary Jones, an employee of the , Norfolk Tacking Co., at Flattsmouth visited friends over the week end.
