R- Daniell, Resident of Near Fort Crook Since 1867 and a Leading Farmer T. R. Daniell, 77, one of the prom inent residents of the eastern por tion of Sarpy county, died Monday evening at his farm home west of Fort Crook. Mr. Daniell came to Sarpy county in 1S67 with his parents an dhas spent his lifetime in that commun ity. Born in Michigan he was an infant whPll hrousht to the west and the family had the experience of riding to Council Bluffs on the first train on the Chicago and North western railroad. In his life Mr. Daniell has been very successful as a farmer and also as a stockman and has large farming interests through Sarpy and Doug las counties. He is survived by four sons. Ri chard, Amos, Thomas and Lester, three daughters, Mrs. Mildred Whit ted, Mrs. Irene Bline and Mrs. Ger trude Iske all of Fort Crook; a bro theri eighteen grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. The funeral services will be held Thursday at 2 p. m. fromthe Union church near Fort Crook and the com mittal at the Bailey cemetery. Here on Furlough Captain John Iverson, U. S. A. with Mrs. Iverson are here for a ten day visit at the home of Captain Iverson's mother and with the other relatives and old friends. .-.-,- T Captain Iverson is a member of th U. S. army air corps and is now sta tioned at Wright Field, near Dayton, Ohio.' Mrs. Iverson is still located at Washington, D. C, where she is secretary for Congressman Lewis K. Rawls 'at the First Presbyterian church on Tuesday afternoon brought out a large number of the old time friends to pay their last tributes to her memory. Dr. H. G. McClusky, pastor of the church of whichMrs. Rawls had long been a most faithful member, conducted the services and paid tribute to her memory. During the service Mrs. J. R. Reed er and Frank A. Cloidt gave two numbers "Wonderful Peace" and "Saved by Grace", Mrs. H. F. Goos being at the organ. The interment wa3 at the Oak Hill cemetery where Mr. Rawls is at rest. The pall bearers were those selected by the departed, Carl J. Schneider, J. Howard Davis, E. H. Wescott, W. A. Robertson, Russell Reeder, Judge A. H. Duxbury. Announce Marriage Saturday, November 14, 1942 at the First Presbyterian church in Om aha Vivian Moore daughter of Mr and Mrs. A. F. Moore of Plattsmouth was united in marriage to Clifford M. Tunnell of King City, Mo. The bride was attired in a Soldier Blue suit with navy accessories and an orchid corsage. Miss Moore was at tended by 'Miss Vera Johnson, who was attired in brown and a gardenia corsage. The groom and his best man Robert Linville.of Omaha, wore blue business suits. The bride is employed in the auditing department of the Mutual Benefit, of which she has been a member for the past 8 years. The groom is employed at the Glenn L. Martin aircraft plant After a brief trip to Kansas City, the couple will reside in Omaha where they have an apartment waiting. Omaha,. Nov. 18, (UP) Extensive preparations are being completed for blacking out one of the largest areas ever, attempted in the United States in one night, when the Seventh De fense Area has its practice blackout December 14 th, Joseph D. Schlotz, Regional Diretor announced today. The are comprising nine states is one-fifth of the total continental area of the United States, Schlotz said. More than fifteen million persons re side in the states affected, which are: Colorado, Wyoming, Nebraska, Mis souri, Iowa. Minnesota, Kansas and North and South Dakota. Arrangements have been made for governors and state defense co-ordi- nators to keep Area Headquarters at Omaha notified as to how the black out was succeeding. Every state will be in constant telegraphic communi cation with Schlotz's office. The blackout is scheduled to start at 10 P. M. Central War time and will last for twenty minutes. To Assist Physicians To assist the doctors when they hold a tuberculin clinic here at Cen tral school Thursday was a decision reahed by members of the womens club at their regular weekly meet ing at the library Monday night. Those present heard a report by the library committee on "The Robe", a Lloyd C. Douglas' novel which was the selection made by the club this year for its gift to the local library. County school superintendent Lora Lloyd Kieck conducted a round table discussion of child welfare at the meeting. She was assisted . by two members of the county assistance staff, Miss Helen Fitzgerald and Miss Glenva Stockton. Members of the Womens club are now organized as a unit in the pur chase of war stamps, it was learned at the meeting that the club would realize a financial return from the showing of Carole Lombard's last pic ture, "To Be or Not To Be." Dies at Omaha Hospital Monday morning at 8:30 at an Omaha hospital, Mrs. Rosella II. Nel son. 3 8.. passed away after an illness that has covered the past six months. In her illness there was little hope held for her recovery. Her parents. Mr. and Mrs. Fred J. Drucker of this city has been .with her a great deal of the time. - . Mrs. Nelson is survived by the hus band, N. P. Nelson; parents. Mr. and Mrs. Fred J. Drucker, Plattsmouth; sisters, Mrs. Ted Vogt.
