Roosevelt Asks More Control Of Co-operation Asks Right to Suspend Laws That I Interfere With the Movement of , Supplies and Personnel WASHINGTON, Nov. 2, (UP) President Roosevelt today asked con gress for authority to suspend all laws that interfere with free move ment of war supplies and personnel into and out of this country. The White House sent to congress a special message outlining the dif ficulties of international cooperation among the United Nations and ask ing for broad authority to deal with the problem. The message empha sized that Mr. Roosevelt wanted the extraordinary powers only for the duration of the war. The President said that the bar riers which were slowing down our war production effort fell into two classes: 1. Corporal Refines Sims, Jr., of Philadelphia, and Private Elfred Jalufka, members of the crews work ing from both directions on the road which connects Alaska to the interior of the North American con tinent, crawled from their bull dozers and shook hands when they bumped together and realized what had happened. The Alcan highway will be for mally opened on November 20.
