Dr. Walter Judd Indicts Conduct Of Pacific War Americans Caught in the Solomons Because of Stupidity of the High Command Omaha, Oct. 30 (UP) A former Omaha medical missionary to China, Dr.. Walter It. Judd, sail hen lat Light "American fighting men are caught like a rat in a trap in the fcolomons because of stupid'ty on the .uri of the high command. Dr. Judd, a republican candidate for congress in Minnesota, spoke be fore a second district teacher conven tion. Tm bitter about this because people are dying out there," he con tinued. "We went into the Solomons and for two month we sat there do ing nothing because we didn't think the Japaneses would try to take it back," he stated. "Well they did try to take it back." - "And there are going to be many more niasacres of American fighting men before the army and the navy use up all the plans they have had for years on how to fight Japan and be gin fighting today's war with today'B methods." Dr. Judd, who left China after J 5 years when the Japanese made his work impossible bitterly assailed the military command. In conclusion he said "Thank God for the cry of Wendell Willkie. It is another voice crying in the wilder ness. He may not have done very much for the republican party, but he does see that the path America has been following is the path of doom." Bowling Bits . , , To the top of the list of eligibles in the 200 Club this week of league bowling goes Johnnie Conis with 313. Why don't more of you towns people come out and root for your team If you haven't a team come down and give the players a good hand and encourage them along. All competitive sports like encourage-knowing ment. On Tuesday evening when the Teachers were bowling .Kent Oil there were several of the fair sex of the faculty present to root for the teachers. It really helped Supt. De voe with their lusty applause for his strikes. He rolled the best game he has bowled so far this year. Come visit us again, girls. In addition to the "200 Club" how about you fellows trying to get into the "500 Club"? Know what I mean? This club would be the fellows who bowl 500 or more in an evening of league bowling. So far there are only 5 fellows in the club and only one V. McNair can be consider ed since he has played in 75 percent or more of the games since league started. He has 531 which he rolled this week. The Kent Oilers got another 'hot streak this week and bettered their own high team score. They had 825 and now have 845. .
