Word received from Mr. .and Mrs. Albert Blum states that they are in Glendale, Arizona and enjoy that country immensely. Social Workers Flower Club The social workers flower club held its October meeting at the home of Mrs. Albert Wheeler. The retiring president, Mrs. James Warga, was presented with a book of savings stamps in recognition of her fine work during the past year. During the business meeting officers for the coming year were elected and roll call was answered by each one giving some hint on the storage of vege table. Mrs. Mumm received more Red Cross sewing to be distributed among the members. Lunch was served by the hostess and her assistant, Mrs. Mike Kaf fenberger. Visitors were Mrs. ! Percy Wheeler and Mrs. Robert Pat-! erson. The November meeting will be held at the home of Mrs. John Mei-singer. Several men have been busy put ting up government granaries for storing sealed corn when it is shell-' ed. They have been working on the basement wall at the parsonage that caved in because of the heavy rain storms this summer and fall. Rev. and Mrs. Morey are getting quite well settled in their home near Alvo parsonage. Rev. and Mrs. Morey are expecting their son who is an instructor at the Pan-American Air base, home on a furlough very soon. Wayne Kinney had his tonsils re moved last week. Wayne has been in rather poor health the past two years. Mr. and Mrs. Carl D. Ganz of Om aha spent the weekend at the S. C. Boyles home. I jCLUB HOLES ELECTION Mrs. Minnie Peterson was hostess to the Flower club members Tuesday when members gathered for a cov ered dish luncheon at 1:00 o'clock. After a delicious meal the ladies held an election to elect the new of ficers for the coming year. Voting resulted in the selection of the fol lowing; president, Mrs. Banning; vice president, Mrs. ; Sec retary and Treasurer Mrs. Minnie Peterson. All present enjoyed a very pleasant time. People of the church remained at the church Sunday after the morning services for a covered dish luncheon sponsored by the W. S. C. S. This was a reception for Rev. and Mrs. Morey. A number of people found it neces sary to miss due to conflicting plans. Those attending enjoyed very much the opportunity to get better ac quainted with these people who have come to work in our midst.
