Lieutenant Parmele has been sta tioned in the Canal Zone and finds that section of the world quite inter esting to one from the north especially. These were John Urish and Harry Griffin, both of the boys being enlisted in the navy. They have been awaiting the call for service for some time and today received the message call ing them to training at San Diego training station. The church was filled with the old friends and neighbors with whom the departed had long been as sociated. The requiem mass was celebrated by Rev. Joseph R. Sinkula, pastor of the church, bringing the bless ings of the church on the departed and the bereaved family. The choir of the church assisted in the singing of the mass. At the close of the service the body was borne to the last resting place in the Catholic cemtery. The pallbearers were old time friends of the family, James Sedlak, Ferdinand Duda, James Holy, Sr., John Zatopek, Frank Swoboda, John Matousek. The Sattler funeral home had charge of the funeral arrangements and burial. CARD OF THANKS We wish to thank all v.ho assisted in any way at the funeral of our beloved mother and grandmother, also those who sent flowers. We want to thank Rev. A few in the higher brackets in the high school and junior high school were also given an increase. Enjoys Visit at Home Walter Ferris, who has been en gaged in working at the Bendix plant at Philadelphia, came in Sat urday evening for a visit with his wife and daughter as well as the many old friends. Mr. Ferris has found the east most interesting and filled with many historic spots, but the people at large lack the cor diality of the western folk. Bull, of this city, spent the week-end at David City, vith relatives and friends, and on their return, their daughter, Joan, jwho spent her Easter vacation there 'also returned. Mrs. T. E.
