Schwen neker; his sister, Mrs. Gladys Glaze, and his brother, Eugene Bushnell. In addition to relatives, he will have the opportunity of visiting with old friends, many of them school chums. VISIT WITH DAUGHTER Mr. and Mrs. S. A. Fouchek and son, Stephen John, who will be a senior in the University of law col lege, were here for a short time Sun day afternoon and visited with their daughter and sister, Attorney Flor-1 ence Fouchek. Lieut. Par mele was a student at University of Nebraska and took his basic flight training at Randolph Field, Tex., and is to be commissioned from Crooks Field, near San Antonio, Tex. Mrs. George Trotter and daughter, Beverly, of this city were at King City, Missouri, over the week-end, attending a reunion of the Trotter family. Sergeant Trotter is in service in the Philippines and was unable to be with the wife and daughter at the reunion. RED CROSS SAFETY COURSE A water safety instruction course will be conducted at Auburn, Ne braska, July 14 to 19, 1941. Course is open to anyone in good physical condition, 19 years of age. holding a life saving certificate. Course is to be conducted by Vernon E. Wood ward, national field representative. SAILOR ON FURLOUGH i Granted a ten-day furlough and planning to ask for a ten-day exten sion, Joy Applegate, who entered the navy for the second time last No- Ivember, is here visiting with his wife and 14-year-old son, Sherman. Mr. Applegate first enlisted in the navy in 1920 for a two-year term. However he never re-enlisted at the completion of the two years and in November, 1940 he was called back into the navy service. He had been stationed at Newport, Rhode Island, engaged in submarine net detail. Mr. Applegate has been appointed Just recently to I the fifteenth naval base at Panama Canal. Mrs. Applegate has been a cook in a number of Plattsmouth's res taurants but her health forced her to give up this particular work.
