' i There is no certainty that Platts- mouth will have a "simon-pure" tournament this fall, but if the ef- forts of Mayor Lilli" and Waldemar : Soennichsen as well as Kid Graves! and the desires of some of the local j boxers are effective enough, our city ; will be host to a lot of fight fans from all over this and some of our neighboring states, about Septem ber. Some of the local boxers are so confident that Platts.-nouth will have a fall amateur boxinc: tourney, that they have purchased some equip ment in order to be ready when the bell rinsrs. opening the "scrap" sea son in Plattsmouth. Any local individual, v. ho is a member of any incorporated organ ization of this city and would like to see amateur boxing shows staged here may realize Tneir hopes, ifj they'd get in tou-h with "Walt"! Soennichsen and ta'k the matter over with him. Local fans want it. local boxers want it. and it would me a worthy project to bring: out state boxing; fol lowers into Plattsmouth to see the bouts, and so why not provide the opportunity to advertise our city? The speaker had been a visitor in Mexico on four separate occasions and was well versed in the City of Mexico and other large places where he had made hi? principal stops.
