Robert Tilson, ycmnKest son of Mr. and Mrs. Garland Tilson of Mur ray, had a very painful accident last Monday noon while working on the farm of Marion Wiles. The young man was unhitching a team and one of the horses kicked him in the right arm, breaking both bones. He was rushed to Dr. Tyson at Murray, who gave first aid. Then the young man was taken to the Clarkson hos pital to have the arm set by Dr. Ilamsa and had to remain there until the next day. Robert is getting along fine but will be kept from work for the next three months If the arm gets along all right. DEATH OF W. E. HOLMES ATTEND CONVENTION From Weanes3ay parry Mrs. Clement Woster, president of Chapter F, P.E.O., Mrs. R. W. Knorr, delegate and Mrs. S. A. Wiles, de parted this morning for Fremont, where they will attend the state con vention opening today. Mrs. E. II. Wcscott, of this city, in charge of the music of the convention, departed Tuesday afternoon for Fremont to arrange for the opening session this morning. RETURNS TO DENVER Mrs. Cora Carper, of Denver, a sis ter of the late Mrs. J. II. Ruhmann, who has been visiting at the home of Mr. and Mrs. W. E. Reynolds, near Union, has returned to her home. She came here for the funeral of her sister and has been a guest at the home of her niece, Mrs. Reynolds since that time. Chromium Plate rubber stamps at lowest prices at Journal Office. The death of William R. Holmes, 54, former Tlattsmouth man, occur red Sunday at Clarinda, Iowa, where he has been at a hospital for some time. Death came as the result of several years of failing health due to a nervous breakdown that had necessitated his giving up his usual activities. Mr. Holmes was employed in this city in the Burlington paint nbop for a number of years, later being engaged in merchandising and wan the manager or a variety store for R. W. Knorr at Villisca, Iowa, for some time and later with the Rrad ley stores in Iowa.
