PAGE EIGHT PLATTSMOUTH SEMI - WEEKLY JOUH-TAL THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 14, 1940. GAGGED AND SHOT MILWAUKEE, Nov. 12 (UP) Firemen who rushed into a home to put out a fire today discovered a spiritualist mother and her eight-year-old son shot to death. The mother had been gagged. The victims were Mrs. Alma Kat zenmiller, 30, and her son, Noel, 8. The coroner said both appeared to have been killed by a shotgun. Police believe the slayer might have attempted to destroy evidence of his crime by fire. Peter Katzen miller, the husband with whom Mrs. Katzenmiller conducted spiritualist seances for pay, was not located im mediately. Police records showed he was given a dismissal in 1937 and last year on charges by his wife and son, Peter Junior, that he had point ed a gun at them. They are with out doubt the most considerate and the pleasantest of all our customers. To have their tires checked in a driving rainstorm would never enter their heads; often they apologize for getting gas when it's cold and rainy. They really appreciate what we do for them; they make us want to do it again. R. S. Francis, Jr., in the Rotarian Magazine. STIBAL VARIETY North Side THIS "ROLLING HOME" BUSI NESS: The development of trailer travel is nothing more than a latter- day form of an instinct that has ac tuated mankind for thousands of years, the impulse to migrate, change its scenic background, and try to fit iiself into new and strange environ ments. It is also a curious illustra tion of the fluid state of all old estab lished standards, folkways, and habits. Ernest Elmo Calkins in the Rotarian Magazine.
